Argentina have trained behind closed doors for a week especially physical training. Recently, Maradona have started tactical training.

Carlos Tevez is definitely a player that will be the key player in the starting lineup which is indicated in training.

Sergio Romero and Jonas Gutierrez will also be in the main squad each becoming the goalkeeper and right wing back.

The absent of Javier Zanetti created many controversy and criticism, but now Maradona proved that he have good reasons to not include him.

The fact is, Zanetti struggled during qualification, especially during a 6-1 defeat away to Bolivia and a loss at home to Brazil.

Known also as "Pupi", he managed to become a key player in Inter Milan last season. But, his performance in club level does not reflect in national level matches in recent years.

Zanetti replacement Jonas was chosen for his greater endurance and energy. Jonas have a good defensive quality that is needed by Argentina.

The defence is completed with the inclusion of Demichelis, Samuel and Heinze. Javier Mascherano will be the anchor man and the team captain which will add more protection.

Mascherano midfield duet will be the experienced Juan Sebastian Veron. Veron will act as a deep lying playmaker in his third World Cup.

Veron will be asked to manage the game and keep possession, while also knocking long balls for his teammates to run onto.

Angel Di Maria will become Argentina's l eft wing back. He will have the responsibility to attack more than Jonas but also still doing defending duty.

Wonderkid Lionel Messi will become the playmaker. He is the heart of the team and will be positioned behind the duo strikers. Play creatively will be his instructions.

Forward position is definitely be filled by Tevez and Gonzalo Higuan. Tevez will be instructed to play as a support forward going wide or even coming deep for the ball. Higuan is going to be the targetman for his skill battling defenders.
