USA Vs. Brazil: To Open The New Giants Stadium In New Jersey

May 29th, 2010 by Andre Rojter Leave a reply »

After last years Confederation Cup final vs Brazil, the US men's soccer team was praying and hoping they could get another shot at the football worlds giant.

A huge let down in the second half saw the US, who has only beaten Brazil once in history, blow their 2-0 lead.

The draw for South Africa came and went with no pairing of these two in a group.

With a small chance to face the Brazilians in the knockout stages of the Cup, the USSF decided to put in stone a redemption attempt.

Both the USSF and the CBF announced today that there will be a friendly between the two squads at the new Giants Stadium on August 10th.

The Americans will bring the disappointment of summer 09 in an attempt to redeem honor in front of the home crowd.

If I were you I wouldn't hold my breath.
