England World Cup 2010: “Psychic” Octopus Predicts Germany Victory

June 27th, 2010 by Daniel Gooch Leave a reply »

A "psychic" octopus has predicted that Germany will knock England out of the World Cup later today.

When asked to choose, Paul the octopus chose a mussel from the jar with the German flag on it, rather than one the similar jar showing the St George cross.

The two-year-old cephalopod has a good record of predicting Germany's results in the past in this manner.

So far, Paul has correctly predicted all of Germany's results in South Africa.

He also correctly predicted around 70 percent of Germany's results in the 2008 European Championship.

His owners at the Tanja Munzig Oberhausen Sea Life Aquarium think he is amazing.

"Paul's prediction was phenomenal," said the aquarium spokesman.

"He swam straight over to the German glass, climbed in, and even put a lid on top once he was sitting inside."

The octopus is a traitor to England. He was born in the UK and was moved to the German aquarium, where he has sided with the national team.

He has become a national celebrity in Deutschland after correctly predicting Germany would beat Australia in their opening match, then lose to Serbia, and then beat Ghana.

His latest GUESS has been flashed all over the German media.

WTF?!

Paul is just an octopus. He is a sea creature. He is NOT psychic.

Whoever, I am psychic...England will win.
