Haynesworth works first full practice (AP)

Albert Haynesworth returned to work as $100 million backup Monday, working at second-string nose tackle in his first full practice at this year's Washington Redskins training camp. Haynesworth put on his No. 92 jersey and blended with his teammates, usually lining up between defensive ends Phillip Daniels and Darrion Scott as he ramps up his education in the team's new 3-4 defense.

Former Oregon QB Masoli joins Ole Miss (AP)

Kicked off the team at Oregon, Jeremiah Masoli has found a new football home at Mississippi. The former Ducks quarterback, dismissed from the team after two run-ins with the law, visited the Ole Miss campus in Oxford this weekend and coach Houston Nutt offered him a place on the team as a walk-on. Masoli, a California native, posted on his website Sunday that he intends to take up the offer.

Brady: Negotiations won’t be distraction (AP)

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is known for being able to focus on his receivers in the face of oncoming rushers. This season he plans to put that single-minded approach to another use -- keeping his contract negotiations from becoming a distraction to the team. "Nobody here can solve it but myself and the team," Brady said after practice Friday morning at New England's training camp.
